Meet Captain Derek
Captain Derek Wager started fishing the Finger Lakes Trollers Association derbies with his father in the 1990s, and has been hooking fish ever since. He has won numerous big fish awards throughout the Finger Lakes and Lake Ontario. In 2023 Captain Derek won his first pro-division tournament with a win at the Tri-Counties West Summer Classic.

Captain Derek fishes aboard a 27 foot 2004 Baha Cruiser 277GLE. The boat is no stranger to big fish, that is rigged with top of the line gear. Inculding four Canon Optimum downriggers, Furuno Sonar/ radar, Fish Hawk X4d. What separates Captain Derek from the rest is his D D custom painted tackle.

When the big boat is put up for the winter, Chasin SIlver 2.5 is ready to go. From Perch, Brown Trout, Steelhead, Walleye, Small Mouth Bass to the staging Kings. The boat is 2017 Alumacraft Escape 165.
